Stork Occasions FAQ's

What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver throughout Sacramento County, the northern portion of San Joaquin County, the eastern tip of Yolo County, the western edge of El Dorado County, the southern portion of Placer County, and areas of Tehema and Butte counties. What does that mean? Click our Delivery page for the specifics. As always, if you do not see your area, please contact us, as we may have forgotten to list it.
 
What times and days do you deliver?
We usually deliver seven days a week, however we are closed for some holidays. Critter delivery generally takes place between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am while our larger signs are delivered between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. We will be happy to work with your needs.
 
When should I order?
Quite simply, the sooner the better. We take reservations months in advance, but we will do our best to accommodate you for your last minute needs. The sooner you call us, the better chance we have of getting your yard announcement out when you need it.
 
What is this "bundle"?
The baby bundle hangs from the stork's beak. On it, we list your baby's name, weight, length, and date of birth. The baby bundle is decorated to coordinate with the baby's nursery. At the end of the rental period, we leave the bundle on the front porch as a keepsake for the new parents.
 
Do you offer stork rentals for adoptions?
Absolutely! We are glad to announce any new member of your family. We will work with you for the perfect greeting for your special bundle of love.
 
Does somebody need to be at home when the sign arrives?
No. We will take care of everything. The only assistance we may need is if the delivery is in a gated community. In this case, we will either need a gate code, or somebody to "buzz" us in (neighbors are great candidates for this job).
 
Do you deliver to apartments or condos?
Yes! If there is open space, we can deliver most of our signs. The only thing we require for apartment or condo rentals is that you obtain permission from the manager to put the sign in front of your unit. Please keep in mind that our storks are very tall and our other yard signs will take up a lot of space in front of the unit.
 
What does your price include?
Each yard announcement rental includes set-up, rental, and removal of the signs and critters. At some locations, an additional delivery fee may apply.
All 5, 7, and 10 day stork rentals also include the keepsake bundle as a memento for the new parents. When we deliver the stork, we also leave a goodie bag full of resources and discounts for the new parents. If this is a gift, we can include a gift card upon request.

 
Can I water and mow my lawn?
Yes. Continue to water and mow your lawn as you normally would. We only ask that you not use a string trimmer around the base of all our signs.
 
Will the sign Damage My Lawn?
No. The sign's support only leaves a small hole in the lawn, which we tamp down and repair when we come to remove the signs.
 
What if I want to move a sign?
If you would like to move the sign or critters, please let us know and we will do it for you. A delivery fee may apply for each time we come out to move the lawn display. We cannot be held responsible for any damage to people or property if you try to move our sign.
 
What if the sign or “critters” get damaged?
If you notice any damage to any of our signs, please let us know immediately. We reserve the right to charge a $50 fee if a sign is stolen or intentionally or severely damaged. There will be a $10 fee for any missing critters. Any additional fees will be charged to the person who rented the signs.
 
Refund policy
You WILL receive a refund of rental fees if you cancel your order 48 hours in advance.
You will NOT receive a refund if:
the homeowner declines the display
we are asked to remove the display early
we are given the wrong address
we are given the wrong personalization
we are not allowed access into a gated community
the homeowner’s dog is loose
or for any other reason beyond our control.

 
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover Card, cash, or check. Payment must be received before the lawn announcement is delivered.
 
What is an "FAQ"?
An FAQ is web speak for a "frequently asked question." It's a list of questions that we hear from customers on a regular basis. It is by no means a comprehensive list, so if you have other questions, please feel free to contact us anytime.
